If you're looking for great service for a great price I'll stop you right here and direct you to the AA Auto right next to the Post Office on Camino El Norte. I had such a better experience with them, Henry and Tomas took great care of my car. But I'll continue this review.
Here's an example of how NOT to speak to someone who WANTS to be your customer. I called this AA Auto first, after looking at their reviews and seeing they're just 1 mi down my street to see if they'd be worth it.
I called around 10 am last Tuesday. When I called, I wanted to make an appointment for my oil to be changed because I had a great coupon from AA Auto and to see if they carried a certain kind of oil for my car. I also wanted to see if they could perform routine inspections to get things looked at.
As soon as he answered the phone, I could tell that the manager I spoke to was annoyed and told me it's first come first serve only and really wanted to get off the phone. When I asked if they carried a kind of oil just to see, he repeated that it was first come first serve.
Me (irritated): so you can't tell me whether you carry X oil over the phone??"
Him: Ohh oil? Ya what kind?.....Ma'am that oil is going to be $120. Just for the oil yeah.
I had a coupon for a synthetic oil change from AA Auto.
His response: No we can't accept that, it says MOST CARS, but not your car.
Me: What if I just get whatever oil it comes with for the coupon?
Him: That will be $79.99.
(Let me just insert the fact that I drive a car so tiny it only has 2 doors and is a hatchback)
Me: so even if I wanted to use whatever oil my oil change will still come to $80?
Him: ya
Me: .........ok I'll just look around some more. Thanks anyway.
Moral of the story: y'all lost me at "Hello". But it ended being a great thing because the other AA Auto down the street did everything I needed in under an hour and for such a great price too! I will be coming back to THAT AA from now on.
