This is by far the best restaurant that I have been to in Pittsburgh. The staff is very laid back and creates a straightforward but friendly atmosphere. Any time I have guests in from out of town, I make it a point to take them to Gaucho.
My favorite menu item is the Carne sandwich. You get to choose the cut of steak on your sandwich and there is no upcharge. I usually end up with a Filet Mignon steak sandwich for $12. The sides are easily shareable. Our go-to is always the potatoes, some corn on the cob, and one of their rotating vegetables. The desserts are also fantastic, although they do rotate. I usually go with whatever seasonal bread pudding they offer.
