  • I've been a patient of Dr. Fechtal for over a decade and he's worked diligently with me to find the cause of my chronic migraines and recommend appropriate treatments. Dr. Fechtal is really impressive because he is willing to fight for his patients to get them the best care. My insurance at one point was denying the only treatment that had so far worked for me (after trying no less than a dozen other treatments) and he battled with them through the hoops and multiple phone meetings they required. He fought for me AND HE WON. He is truly a patient advocate. Dr. Fechtal understands migraines and migraine pain, and he empathizes with his patients instead of making the accusations and dismissals I've become accustomed to over 20 years of being a migraine sufferer. The office in general is really nice, the waiting room is comfortable and clean, and each room is outfitted with comfortable exam tables, chairs, and is very clean and organized. The wait times are surprisingly short for a very busy specialist office. In the recent years I haven't had to wait more than 5 minutes after my appointment time. They also have an updated billing and record keeping system, it's all accessible online through a patient portal. This is really awesome for paying any bills or reviewing my scheduled appointments. Unfortunately not everyone in the office is as kind or competent as Dr. Fechtal, I've had some run-ins with very unpleasant PA's, especially Susan. She was VERY aggressive and accusatory and despite my following my actual doctor's instructions explicitly, she flat out called me a drug abuser within moments of my walking into the room (I wasn't even taking anything narcotic or that could possibly produce a "high"). I made a complaint to the office manager and I have never been scheduled with Susan again. I don't hold that against the office or the quality of care I've received from Dr. Fechtal though, they deserve the five stars.
