We came again on December 14 looking forward to celebrating our anniversary. Unfortunately, this visit turned out to be a great disappointment. My wife ordered the Rib Eye steak ($59) on the advice of the very good waitress. I ordered the French Onion soup followed by the seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras which perhaps should not have been luke warm. We also had a cocktail each and a bottle of Zinfandel.
Well, my wife's steak turned out to be very tough and ultimately not edible. I also tried a piece of the steak which clearly was tough) and the waitress apologized, offered to bring something else (but at this point it was too late) and ultimately removed this charge from our bill which still turned out to be $180 with, sadly, my wife not having eaten anything but bread. Despite this I enjoyed my food and the service was attentive and responsive. However, clearly this should not happen at this caliber restaurant.
