  • I used All Breed for my very first time getting my cat groomed. I explained on the phone that my main reasons for getting her groomed were a bunch of knots of fur on her belly and the fact that she was shedding horribly. Laura was great at finding a time that worked with my crazy schedule, and my preferred deadline for having it done. However, the haircut was not at all what I expected. I asked for the Lion's Cut, which I had seen on the internet and a few of my friend's cats had had it. She called me at work to confirm how I wanted the tail done - but made an assumption that I "wanted more hair left because most owners of long hair cats want more hair". When I got my cat back - it looked like she forgot to groom half my cat! Her whole front legs were untouched, and the shave ended part way on the back - leaving half the cat shaved and half the cat not shaved! My friends commented that the groomer must have been drunk, or perhaps fell asleep and forgot to finish. Before I complained, I did my research. I looked up Lion's Cut on google images, and only about 1 our of 50 pictures looked like my kittie's cut. I then looked up Lions - well, she did look like a lion I guess. With that knowledge, I then left a polite message mentioning that wasn't what I expected. She wrote back an unappologetic email with that comment about what most long haired cat owners want, saying that I should look online and see that what she did was in fact a Lion's Cut (which I clearly had already done - and was not convinced that was true) and that next time I should be more specific. I do see where miscommunications can happen, and therefore I would have been willing to give it another try, until the gruff email response. Yes, perhaps I should have been more specific, however, she is an "expert" in grooming, isn't it her job to be clear and to ask questions customers might not think to ask to make sure it is correct? Besides, the whole point of bringing her into the groomer was to have LESS HAIR!!!
