  • I spent the day here and LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!! It's like walking into a bit of a dream world. Everything was clean, beautiful and opulent. I loved the shades of blue in the tiling. Everyone working there seemed very very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It creates a nice energy when it seems that people actually like their jobs. My massage with Dimitru was awesome. Excellent pressure and he really targeted problem areas well. I also appreciated the exercise tips afterwards. Next a facial with Izabella was great too. She gave me alot of good advice regarding my skin care regime, my facial was excellent, my skin looked amazing afterwards and I appreciated that she made just a couple recommendations for products but I didn't feel coerced or forced into buying them at all (unlike other places....) The saltwater pool is the perfect temperature. I liked having the option to use the whirlpool in the joint 'water therapy' room or the ladies change room. The shower stalls are huge and fully equipped with all types of products. There was an issue with the gift certificate that I used which the manager quickly and graciously dealt with. The only reason for taking off a star is because I found it VERY loud, which really detracted from the ability to fully relax and enjoy myself. During the facial, I could hear people in the hallway talking loudly. In the sauna and poolside, there were lots of women in groups laughing and talking loudly. Same thing in the ladies whirlpool. I came here to relax. I really didn't want to hear about someone loudly blabbing about their issues with their job/their ex/their plans for that night bla bla bla. I only saw one small sign at the entrance to the pool room asking people to use quiet voices and although there were a ton of people working there, no one ever reminded anyone to keep it down. There are also no signs in any of the actual shared spaces reminding people to keep the noise level down. It's really unacceptable for a spa, especially one that is this pricey, to allow this to continue and spoil the experience for some.Using a QUIET voice is really something that should be highlighted and stressed when the attendant gives you your bathrobe, flip flops and a quick tour. I've since seen other reviews of the Elmwood where noise was regularly highlighted as an issue. It's really a shame that management seems to have done nothing about this. The noise level really spoiled what would have been a perfect experience and because of it, I'm not sure I'd go back again.
