  • Bland Street stop is the best stop in my book. You will exit to the Trolley Museum. Just outside that is "hexapong". A hexagonal table with a metal "net" and Ping-Pong paddles and a ball tucked away for you to throw down. It's perhaps one of the most obscure finds in Charlotte. In fact, can I get a business entry just for hexapong? The sad part is that when you walk up to the street that frontages the Trolley Museum you will find that the old Common Market location here has been demo'd to make way for the far more important residential complexes dominating all of Charlotte these days. However, a short walk around the corner will at least take you to a decent strip of shops and, ultimately, the Wooden Robot Brewery. Not much further than that is the Golden Cow Creamery. Beyond describing what's around a public transit stop I find it difficult to describe the public transit stop itself. This one is like all the others along the light rail line. A few benches on either side, whether outbound or inbound. Ticket kiosks and timetables. Ride the light rail one-way for $2.20 per person. It works on the honor system so don't jip the city by hopping on and hopping off without paying! If you're gonna do that, you might as well take a walk along the light rail trail.
