| - I went for new years and this hotel was only ~$110/night, while many of the big hotels along the strip were sold-out or charging 200-400/night. Personally for me, being near or far from the strip did not bother me one way or the other, because i knew I'd be leaving my home hotel to travel to other hotels. Since embassy was on a less congested street than the strip, vacant side-streets were more accessible to get around the city.
Parking is very accessible since it surrounds the hotel so i didn't have to zigzag through a casino maze. The room looked exactly like the yelp pics. There was a microwave and empty frig which i found to be VERY convenient.
NO free internet/WiFi in your room unless you are a Hilton's reward member, otherwise it's $10/day.
Breakfast was free and had all your typical breakfast options. There was fruit, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, danishes, donuts, as well as the hot food stuff like eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, pancakes, potatoes.
During Happy hour they offered drinks and snacks for free. Snacks included tortilla chips with nacho cheese or beans, popcorn, and trail mix.
Overall I think it's a good hotel if you are traveling with children. No gambling in the building, no tobacco smoke, short traveling distance from car to hotel room. Only drawback is there are no 'activities' except for the indoor pool which is only 3.5' deep. So if you want to do pretty much anything (eat, shop, sight-see) outside your hotel room, you're gonna have to drive. Though the hotel itself is located on Paradise Road, leaving the hotel isn't much of a hassle compared to staying on Las Vegas Blvd..
