| - Have been shopping for a Honda, and a friend suggested I give Wilde a try. I wandered around the sales lot, when "Veli" came out. He explained he was helping another customer, but would send someone out. After my wandering the full extent of the sales lot, directly in front of the sales showroom, nobody came out. I nearly left at that point (and should have), but checked in with Veli again. He said someone was right behind him on the way out. I waited a bit longer with nobody appearing.
Finally, I reluctantly went insides the showroom looking for help. Allen Kapugi came from behind the desk, offering assistance. I explained to him that I was interested in a Civic, especially the EX-L, but would like to test drive the Si. He took me around the lot looking for an automatic Si. Seems they didn't have one, despite all the signs on the lot about 300 other cars nearby. He suggested that I could go to their Milwaukee location to see that car, but they couldn't pay to bring the car to Madison, unless I'd like to pay $500 down on it. He then said he could at least check to see if Milwaukee did have the car, which I declined since I didn't want to drive to Milwaukee. He never offered to discuss the EX-L with me or show me one.
On my way home, I stopped briefly at Zimbrick where the salespeople explained in less than 1 moment that Si only comes in a manual! Glad I didn't drive to Milwaukee to see that car!
I had really hoped to have a positive experience at Wilde, as a little competition is good for everyone. Given they don't even know basic information about the cars they sell and are reluctant to even offer assistance, I don't think I'll be back.
