Just moved back to AZ and wanted my wing fix. I wanted Native but word on the street is they are no bueno anymore.
Looked at my trusty boo Yelp for where the new spot is and the reviews took me to ATL wings.
Customer service-wonderful, the cashier took her time and explained each flavor and gave suggestions on what to order. It was Tuesday so all wings are .75 cents, WORD!!
Food
We ordered classic bone in wings in the following flavors..
Lemon pepper
Garlic parmesan
Honey BBQ
Honey hot
Typically I would explain each flavor profile in my reviews but here lies the problem. If I were to close my eyes and pick a wing no matter the flavor they all tasted the same.
The size of the wings were great, they were fried nicely but there is no distinction in the sauces.
I must admit I make a pretty awesome wing and my house and I take time working on the sauces and how to toss and layer them. Not sure because they are under new management if the flavor changed?
Also, many Yelp reviews mentioned the ATL rub and unfortunatly they got rid of it with the last management.
Biscuits-again, a big miss for me and not worth the calories. They are more like a beignet that is slightly denser. I think the issue is that they in no way are a biscuit, so I felt the expectation was misleading.
Fries-Amazing!! Fresh cut, greasy and thin.
Ranch-not bad but the profile could be stronger.
All in all the people are nice, atmosphere is simple and you feel comfortable to get dirty, I just expected more.
