  • If you're like me, you always wonder: "how can xxxx have gotten so many 5 star reviews? They must be fakes." Well, I've used many different plumbers in my 30 years here in Phoenix, and Chris at Pink Plumbing was the best yet: professional, punctual, knowledgeable, competent, and got the job done very reasonable rates - far less than other quotes I'd gotten. My water heater went out and I tried to replace it myself. I took my time, got the old one drained and outside, repainted the wall and put in new tiles underneath. Bought a new one and put it in place with the help of my son. I admit I had doubts as to whether the existing flex pipe would still work, but I put in new washers and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, filling up the new tank, I found out the hot water pipe had now developed a pinhole leak. Clearly, I needed a plumber to sweat in new copper pipes. I went through the Yelp reviews and found several good options, but Pink was the closest to my location, so I gave him a call. He was booked up that afternoon, but I agreed I could wait until the next morning, and he gave me a 2-hour window. I was pleasantly surprised when, at the start of that appointment window the following morning, I got a call from him saying he was running late and would be arriving at the end of that window rather than the beginning as he'd hoped. This was a first in my experience, that I'd get the courtesy of a heads up call and an update of the actual arrival time! I had also been concerned that, since I'd tried to do it all myself, I'd be "punished" or at least lectured about all the things I'd "done wrong" and all of the extra expenses I'd incurred through my foolishness. Again, a pleasant surprise. "Yeah, all of this hard water in Phoenix, you pretty much have to count on replacing the flex lines when you put in a new water heater." It was a tight area for sweating in the new flex lines, and it turned out the gas line shutoff was now leaking too, but in a couple of hours it was all completed, including new shut-off valves, and for about half the price I'd been expecting! I will be calling Pink Plumbing the next time I need plumbing work, and I can whole heartedly recommend Chris for any plumbing work you need.
