| - We had heard so much about this place from our friends, and our daughter who lives in Chandler.
However, every time we had the hankering for a variations on our normal cuisine preferences, it is always seems to be on a Monday, and this place is closed on Mondays.
We found ourselves venturing to Chandler Fashion Square for a shopping trip, and once we were done, we decided to just head on to Tumi to sample their Peruvian offering.
One of my daughters, who has spent quite some time in Central and South America, has always encouraged us to try Peruvian Cuisine. She indicated that is divergent enough for us to recognize the difference.
And different is definitely the key theme here!
I was wanting some Ceviche, and they delivered a great combination of Sweet and Tart.
Their Ceviche de Camarones was a welcome surprise!
The pre-cooked shrimp had such a wonderful flavor since it was marinated in lime juice and Peruvian spices. And the Peruvian Corn and Yams that accompanied this dish just made for a great combination of flavors.
My wife had the Lomo Saltado, which was comprised of beef loin strips that were sauteed with various spices. It was simple wonderful.
We also ordered the Peruvian-Chinese Combination of Friend Rice. The rice was quite rich in flavor, and the had great texture.
And for dessert, the Peruvian version of Flan was fantastic. It did not have a taste of burnt caramel, and it was exquisitely sweet through and through.
