  • Spotted Owl did not disappoint at all. The space is SO great. I might even say "rustic dungeon" in a good way ;) and it is probably the coolest atmosphere for a bar in Cleveland (and maybe the 3rd coolest bar I've been in ever and um, I spend a lot of time in bars so....) The drink list is extensive and varied -- cocktails, great beer, and cool, decent priced wines. Seriously, this place nails it. The bartenders were friendly, chatty and informative and made us some of the best cocktails Cleveland has given. They knew our name by the end of the night and we knew their name (Terrell and Caspian) and I really appreciate that. What I didn't appreciate about the evening was the owner barking orders at the bartenders where customers could hear. Listen, I get it. It's not super busy and you want things done your way -- but we never would have noticed! That's what staff meetings/post its/group huddles are for. I don't need to hear all the things you want them to do different because I think things are A++ and all I see is you making your great bartenders super nervous.
