  • I visited this shoe store today with hopes of finding a pair of beige, leather, well tailored sandals. I could feel the owners eyes on me from the moment I walked into this empty store. Instead of trying to make a sale, she told me that her store catered to resort-going winter-visitors, (this is code for customers perceived to be wealthy) and that she would not help me find a shoe similar to the one I was holding! It's 110 degrees outside, half of the town is gone for the summer, and she refused to help me find a pair of shoes. This owner gets a zero for making a snap judgment about me, and my spending habits. I will continue to nurture my relationship with ridiculously expensive footwear over at the local Nordstrom.
