  • I'm female and I submitted to a vaginal exam which I continue to regret. The nurse was prepping the room and opening drawers and cabinets. Frustrated at not finding what she was looking for, she went next door. She comes back holding one part of an acrylic speculum with her BARE hands! She proceeds to throw it into the tray within the table for the doctor's use. I was screaming inside but couldn't speak out, "Why isn't that sterilized??!!" When the doc did the exam he did not show me the remaining part/s of the speculum being taken from a sterilized package either. I can't get over the fact that they put something filthy inside of me. If you are female, I would recommend you find another practice that respects women and modern medical practice! As for the doc himself, I'm not sure he likes his job. There was a glimmer of a funny guy, but a couple things that indicated the man has little compassion and definitely no empathy.
