| - I'm going to be an outsider among these glowing reviews. Yes, most people are friendly and knowledgeable, and take the time to explain things. I think that's the job description.
My dog has had good - and unduly expensive - care here. San Francisco, one of the most expensive cities in the US, is my basis of comparison. Unnecessary lab tests have been insisted upon, and the results disregarded, to get to the treatment we already knew was appropriate.
Suggestion: Comp the occasional nail trim for regular clients paying these costs? I had a $400 tab one day for a 10 minute visit and was charged $16 for the 2 minutes it took to clip nails! Then we went back in for a blood draw. I wasn't invited to go back with him for that and another nail trim. I was charged $16 again, and his nails don't appear to have been touched in the three minutes he was out of my sight. He's a fuzzball so I didn't realize til later. If I have to question a nail trim....
One more suggestion: Vets and techs, you see my name on the chart, please tell me yours. If I call back to ask about something, I'm expected to somehow know whom I spoke with. I can decipher by the order of appearance what the roles were, but I've most often had nothing to go on for names.
Sorry I'm gripey, just noticed my dog's untrimmed $16 nails again. I absolutely want the people caring for my animals to make a good living, but I have limits.
