You have, I believe, two choices in south Charlotte for hibachi style Japanese food where hibachi chefs prepare food at your table over a top grill. We opted for Nakatos and it was a good choice. We seemed to feel the food was a bit better tasting. For example, the fried rice is prepared with 5 eggs which seems to be a lot more. The noodles tasted fresher and the meats were well prepared and seasoned. The appetizer soup was great as it had bits of fried tempura coating in it. Overall great tasting food (5/5).
Plus you can sit at tables that are traditional as you have to take your shoes off which is cool (5/5).
Overall great experience, highly recommend you give this place a whirl of you're in the area.
