| - If you're the type that loves monkeying around or pretending you're Jackie Chan, then this is the hike for you. If you're the type that has a fear of heights and scared that you can easily fall or break a bone at any given point, then this is also a hike for you!
Biffles and I decided to ditch typical Vegas things to do and try this hike! It's about an hour drive outside of Vegas in Boulder City. Don't forget to pack sunscreen, plenty of water, snacks, towel and a change of clothing!
The hike is not easy, but it's not extremely difficult either. If I can do it, anyone can! We started at 11am and ended around 4pm. The first 30 mins or so is pretty flat, and you'll get through it with a breeze. Once you hit the ropes, that's when the going gets tough. After you complete about 4-5 ropes, you have about 30 mins or so before you hit the river! If you're a novice when it comes to maneuvering over huge boulders during a hike, you're definitely gonna have to use some critical thinking when it comes to going down and coming back up. Do not give up!!! It's definitely worth the trek. We saw about 3 hot springs total, pretty warm waters. Took a dip in a couple. Best time ever! Please be mindful if you're bringing dogs for a stroll, let's try to keep the trail and the water clean for the humans to enjoy!
If you're looking for an adventure away from the Vegas crowds, look no further! You're definitely in for a treat.
