| - We picked this hotel for proximity to Phoenix Airport and 24 hour shuttle to airport. That works.
However, they are in process of remodeling and condition of facilities is poor. The room has king size bed but only one desk chair for sitting in the room. There was a coffee pot in the room with cups but no coffee or condiments for coffee. No tea either.
The gym has broken treadmill and poor condition exercise equipment. There is a pool that looks clean and a spa that was not warm.
The breakfast hours are good, 5-10 am, with scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, sweet rolls, dry cereal, fruit juice, waffles and more. They had a basket of red delicious apples out even when the breakfast area has closed.
The seating area in lobby has a sofa and 2 upholstered chairs that look like they may have been acquired from Goodwill and not cleaned for 30 years.
The check-in staff are courteous.
This MIGHT turn into a nice place to stay after the remodeling is done. The front desk person said the remodeling has been going on about 6 months, when I asked. There are some features that look like they are aiming to be nice, some nice photos on the wall, nice tile in lobby restrooms etc. Overall though it looks like nothing has been done to update or even clean carpets or furniture in about 30 years.
Update July 21 2017. This hotel claims to participate in United Airlines Mileage Plus program to earn airline miles for stay. Weeks ago I was told that miles were credited but they do not show. Now several calls and email communications, more than 8 weeks later, still no credit for this. CHOICE PRIVILEGES PROGRAM IS A FRAUD.
