| - The best lounge at Pearson! Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounge has perhaps more liquor options and better seating, but the food situations is 10X better at the Plaza Premium. Don't get me wrong Plaza Premium still has a variety of spirits and beer to choose from ( and usually a couple types of wine), but where Maple Leaf Lounge is stingy with the food (think 1 or 2 flatbreads that get decimated within minutes), soup , salad and light snacks. The plaza premium has several types of salads, meat, roasted veggies, rice, soups and deserts. Most importantly, the food is actually: hot, fresh, mostly healthy and delicious. I've been to this lounge 10-15 times and I've yet to experience a bad meal.
Where the Maple Leaf Lounge is packed full of rude, aggressive business travellers, the plaza premium is usually much quieter and most of the people pilots and crew members from the various airlines.
There are 4 different seating areas (work area with desks, comfy chair area, private TV area and larger party table area). It's quiet and comfortable. This is the lounge you want to visit when you're at Terminal 1 in Pearson.
