  • Amelie's is always a must when I have guests visiting from out of town. I have not figured out when the best time to go is though as the lines really seem to vary. Although the desserts stand out because they are so pretty to look at and there are so many to choose from, I'm never quite satisfied. The best options I think are the salted caramel brownie or the fruit tarts. The seasonal cakes and gateauxs tend to be dry and the macarons are fair at best. The hidden star of the menu is the quiche of the day. I'm never disappointed by it and the texture of the crust is perfect. The other thing that is a hit would be their beverages. The seasonal lemonades for those avoiding caffeine or the cafe marcottier for those needing a buzz would be my go-to choices.
