| - I set an appointment to get a tour of the complex, but when I came in, it took quite awhile before anyone helped us -at least 20 mins later than our set time. In addition to that, after the visit, I e-mailed them about available apartments that I saw listed online, but no one bothered with responding to me (still to this date no response). Make note that I e-mailed them because nobody had been answering the office phone. The next day, I called them to ask about "additional community fees" that I have seen their tenants complain about on other review sites. I just wanted to be informed before making a decision that would bind me to a contract for a year. The girl who answered the phone HUNG UP ON ME after I asked about these fees. In good faith, I thought maybe it wasn't intentional and that it was a connection thing -it wasn't. I called back again, and the same girl picked up, and this time with attitude when I told her it was me again. I asked her the same question about the additional community fees and instead of answering my question, she gets a tone and asks me "...why? are you a resident?" after telling her no, I wasn't, but was interested in becoming one, she softens up and tells me, "oh no, no additional fees, I don't know what you're talking about." I see now that if I was a tenant, what kind of treatment I would get if I had a question about my bills. I will not state the name of the individual that I was in correspondence with because it is neither here nor there who it was, it's a matter of how you treat both prospective and current tenants. If you had nothing to hide, and in fact, didn't have "hidden" fees that the other tenants complained about, why would you get an attitude when the question was asked and why would you dodge answering it? Perhaps it was just that one specific employee that displayed poor customer service and that she doesn't represent the rest of the management team, but I would rather not take my chances and end up being miserable and stuck in a contract.
While the apartment complex may be luxurious, that type of customer service is well below par and I will gladly take my business elsewhere.
