  • I came here on a Friday night (August 2nd- I am waaaay behind on some of my reviews). Anyways...I had been planning to come here since they opened, because who doesn't love a good Tiki Bar? Last time I had been to one was when I lived in Tucson, AZ and those drinks were always killers! I was not in the least bit disappointed with Porco. I actually got my first taste of them at the Taste of Tremont. We bought tickets for the liquor tent and saw people with these fun tropical beach looking drinks. We didn't know what they were at the time, but my goodness they were delicious! So anyway, back to Friday night at Porco, after looking a a very extensive, yet vague (they don't exactly tell you what is in the drink, so kind of a surprise) menu I decided upon a drink called The Painkiller, they have them in three different versions - I, II and III. Not sure what the differences are...amount of alcohol? Who knows but I decided upon the Painkiller II. I was happy to find out that that was the same exact drink that I had tried at Taste and it was amazingly good again. Be careful this is one of those drinks that you will not even know you're drinking until it's too late. Second drink, the Zombie (and I strongly suggest a 2 drink minimum) was a LOT more easier to recognize the presence of alcohol, WOW was it strong. It wasn't my favorite but the delivery was really awesome, they put something special in it to make it all bubbly and steamy (okay so it's dry ice, but super cool). The drinks are on the pricier side but they are in really big glasses. Friends ordered other drinks- Singapore Sling, Planet of the Apes and Test Pilot. I tasted each and they were all equally good. Friends really enjoyed them as well. It's very busy there on a Friday night, so be patient when it comes time to order. The bartenders are busy, busy, busy making each drink with precision. But amazingly they are really friendly the entire time and even talk and answer your questions while they are working. This should definitely be on your To Do list!
