  • My fiancĂ© and I were shopping for a wedding venue and thought that Le Jardin was a good choice. I had attended a few weddings there and really liked the building. The food was also pretty good - standard banquet hall fair. We had an appointment with Eugene, a sales consultant, and we're really offended. He constantly made us wait while he did stuff (check our dates, quote our prices, etc). I know it takes time to build quotes, but we had gone to other places where it didn't take that long. He showed us the halls fine and seemed to be in good spirits. But he kept saying condescending things to us like "you only get married once, don't be too cheap" and "go with this menu, it's cheaper than the Chinese menu". He even rolled his eyes when he thought I wasn't looking when I asked what the different open bar options were. He didn't even shake our hands and walk us out the door! His demeanor was like "I'm done with you cheap ass Asians, don't waste my time." Honestly we thought he was so rude. He met us for 30mins only and spent most of the time making us wait, or taking jabs at us for being supposedly "cheap". We never asked him to lower any prices, were totally impressed with the building and told him we had good experiences there before as guests. I emailed the boss, Carlo after. Carlo said something to the effect of "we will train him". Not sure if that will work on someone who clearly judges people based upon how they look. I would stay away from talking to Eugene and maybe even talking to Le Jardin in general. There are many other venues where the consultants want to work with you and are accommodating and not snooty.
