I have spent several weeks healing after injuries sustained during a 1.5 class here. It was really a 2.0 class, with several exercises requiring standing up on the reformers. I had been doing Pilates for several months with great success but this class completely screwed up my back.
At one point during the class the instructor said, "Open up your collar bones."
Without meaning to, I whispered to myself, "Open your collar bones? I don't know what that means..."
She heard me and said, "You don't know what that means?! It means open up your collar bones!"
Oh. My bad. Thanks for the clarification.
I would rather go somewhere that the instructors care about the health & well-being if their students. I suggest Club Pilates Scottsdale Promenade!
