GANGSTA YO!
Mark H brought me here because he thought I'd have a fun time...he was right!
Capo's is kind of a mobster throwback when there was an A+ Italian restaurant on every block in Vegas. When you enter the place, you don't enter from the front, but instead from a small, Semi-unmarked door in the back of the building! Fkn awesome...LOL. Once through the door, you're in a small entry space and need to ring a doorbell and talk through a speaker to gain access to the restaurant...even more awesome! :)
Once in, the place is dark with red diamond tufted banquets. It feels like in any booth you might see people from the likes of Al Capone to Ol' Blue eyes, Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin. All the servers are dressed in tuxedos and are extremely attentive from the moment you walk in.
Once seated, we were happy they had Hendricks gin and each got a Hendricks and tonic. Mark H knew that they have large portions so we passed apps and just ordered entrees. They have some fun sounding dishes with things like Uncle Pauly's Arrabiata and Vinnie's alla vodka. :) I opted for Da Don's Lasagna and Mark H ordered a special, the Clams in red sauce with linguini. Both dishes were healthy portions and tasty. Shamefully I actually finished my monstrous piece of lasagna and was stuffed. Mark H said his pasta dish was good finished it but did have quite a bit of red sauce left. That's when I realized we didn't get any bread which should have come with our meal. No biggie since we were already stuffed and didn't want anything else to eat.
We obviously passed on dessert.
A pretty cool place to eat at in a town FULL of good restaurants.
