| - With experience at Barrington's under his belt, award winning chef Bruce Moffett set off to create a tapas style restaurant -- this place does not disappoint. It gets ist fast, so you have to come at a good time, but the service is always good and the food is always spectacular! Chef Schreiber's small plate menu is constantly changing with the season using only local and organic ingredients -- and you can definitely tell, as the food tastes incredibly fresh. Good food is a good place to go out with friends in Montford or just have a nice date night.
I recommend the star of the menu: the steamed bun, which is a five spice rubbed pork belly dressed with hoisin and pickled vegetables. This pillowy bun is going to be a hit at the table so I suggest ordering more than one. The Poached Farm Egg is also really good, which is made with root vegetables, maitake mushrooms, and root juice. The flavor pairings in this dish are really nice and a good start to the evening. Lastly, I am obsessed with the braised duck gnocchi, which comes with greens, toasted pecans and is covered in a warm acorn squash puree. The gnocchi is nice and fluffy, and tastes very savory with the squash and duck.
