  • I have been a patient of Dr. Gahardts for over 20 years but sadly after all that time I will no longer return, Dr. Gahardt is a great dentist and his hygienists are the best, unfortunately his office manager is the worst, I know of at least seven patients who have left him due to her rudeness and unflexibility, The problem I experienced might seem like a simple one yet still frustrating enough for me to quit seeing a dentist I had seen for over 20 years, the issue I experienced is with Rhonda the office manager, she has the policy that you confirm your appointment days in advance, even though I work two jobs and I am extremely busy I have always managed to do so, but on my last appointment I had an emergency and was out of town, I returned and was able to confirm my appointment 24 hours before it was scheduled however I was told that Rhonda the office manager had already canceled my appointment for not confirming with enough notice, first of all I feel that 24 hours is sufficient notice and secondly and most importantly as stated on several occasions I have been a patient for over 20 years and have NEVER missed one single appointment, I attempted to reschedule but was told that due to Dr. Garhardt being busy they would call me when a cancellation came up, they called me on five different occasions and every time, I returned their call within 1 to 2 hours only to be told that the appointment had already been filled, the whole thing felt like a joke, I feel that the way Rhonda handled things was extremely unjustified, unfortunately that is the norm with her and why so many patients have left, Dr Garhardt and his staff are amazing, if he could only see the light and replace Rhonda with a more compassionate and caring individual he would have a winner and I, along with many others would have remained patients for life or until he retired.
