  • I've lived here for a year and won't renew my lease. I thought the location of this complex would be the best thing about it. How fun would it be to live at the Quarter and walk to good restaurants and shops?! But that ended up being one of the worst parts about this apartment. The windows are so thin!! Might as well not even have them. For the cost of rent they should have used QUALITY windows. So cheaply constructed. You're essentially living at a mall. If you enjoy being able to fall asleep or living in a quiet environment, this place isn't for you. Mall employees leaving their jobs at 2 a.m. and speeding down the parking garage that will echo into your apartment! This apartment building is built within feet of the parking garage so you WILL be woken up every night by cars speeding in and out of it. There is always people screaming and laughing leaving the bars and restaurants and you can hear their entire conversations and I am 4 stories up! Then if falling asleep isn't bad enough, you will be woken up at 4 a.m. when the mall employees power wash the side walks and it's insanely loud. As far as the apartments go, they are cheaply constructed. Dogs peeing in the elevator on a daily basis. People shopping at the quarter would always think the parking garage for the apartments were meant to be mall parking and they would come right in and park in our assigned spots. Garage doors always broken and NO MIRRORS around sharp corners. You can't see another car around the corner and I almost got into multiple accidents. Staff said they were getting mirrors, well it's been a year.... The location is in north Scottsdale so if you like old town or fashion square, it's going to take you a good 30 minutes to get down there. This apartment also has outside vendors and companies "rent" the pool area. There were random fashion shows and cocktail parties which always left the pool area full of garbage and plastic cups and stuff laying around. It sucks to pay so much and have your private pool that you pay to use, being used by random people. I paid close to $2500 a month which is just not worth it. They also force you to have a cable package for you tv which was annoying. They are opening restaurants now below the apartment building so I can only imagine how loud and annoying that's going to be for anyone living directly above them. There was always an awful scent coming up through the pipes. I would close all the drains in my bathroom and close the door because it would make the entire apartment smell like rotten fish mixed with a sour garlic scent. Hard to explain but it would smell up several times a week for the entire year I've lived here. Something is wrong with the sewer system at these apartments. Getting in a shower that smells like a sour dead fish wasn't fun and I'm glad to never do that again! Also, after I wrote my review Crescent has posted their own FAKE positive reviews. What an awful company. Take it from someone who has lived here, it's awful.
