  • Great new concept in Verona! I absolutely love the pour your own wine thing. So the way it works is: Go to the bar, get a card for the machine (preloaded with $100). Once you are at the machine, put the card in, and there are 7 red and 7 white wines to choose from. Another great feature is that every wine has 3 different size pours: Small (just trying out something new), medium (really like this wine a lot), and large (horrible day at work). I like the small size pours because it allows me to branch out and expand my wine drinking horizons without committing to a full glass if I don't like it. The owners are incredibly nice and you can tell they really care about the place being a success, as well as being a great community member and champion for other Verona businesses. My only criticism is that they could do more with the seating. There is a lot of wasted space in the bar, and when i think wine bar I think comfy, inviting seating. Toot & Kate's is just a little lacking on that aspect. They also offer cheese and chocolate plates and offer pairing suggestions with the wine they have, which is a nice touch. Looks like a great deal for the amount of food you get. I certainly will be back many times and think this is a great addition to the Verona area.
