  • So much fun! I went here for my roommate's birthday and I had thrown axes before (once... at a giant tree stump), but it wasn't nearly as fun as it was at BATL. Our instructors (Raegan and I forgot the other guy's name!) were so helpful! They gave us tons of coaching on how to properly throw the axes. After we all had a chance to learn how to throw them, we entered into a round-robin competition that was SO MUCH FUN. Friendly competition is the best. It was so exciting watching the final two (even more so because it was the birthday boy versus his friend). I highly recommend coming here for a birthday. There were only 10 of us so it ended up being $54 each but it's cheaper when there are more people. My abs were sore the next day too, so it's like a 2 in 1 since you get a workout while having a blast. I want to throw the big axe next time... #hooked.
