| - Unfortunately I have had to take my chronically ill dog here many times over the past few years. The last time, which ended yesterday, the staff really went above & beyond. Lady was there about 18 hours and saw at least two shifts of techs & two doctors. Both doctors were AMAZING & very caring. Lady was very sick and euthanasia was the best choice for her, but they gave me plenty of time to reach that decision on my own & gave her great supportive care the entire time. Although we arrived about 8:30pm, I refused to leave to go home to sleep - so they let me and my boyfriend sleep there, in one of the unused rooms, and the tech even gave us blankets! Once it was time for the euthanasia, the doctor was again very wonderful about the whole process & brought her in wrapped in the blanket I had put on her earlier. I had a very specific & unusual request for her memorial, and the doctor and staff were so accommodating- when they didn't have to be. His work was done, I had paid, but the doctor still took the time to assist us with all of our requests which meant so much to me. I cannot say enough good things about this place!
In regards to some other comments - yes emergency veterinary care is extremely expensive. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. Best to be prepared for emergencies. I've used Care Credit twice, and the front desk staff can sign you up for it easily if you qualify.
