| - Tessaro's is like you plunked a Cheers-style bar in the middle of an already crowded restaurant. Even with the bump-out they did about 10 years ago, it gets crowded during peak mealtimes.
That said, if the possibility of the waiting in line and maybe getting jostled or shoehorned into your chair to eat isn't off-putting, the food is great.
While the place is known for its burgers (they are some of the best I've ever had) they also have ribs on Thursday and a Mexican night as well. Every night they have grilled seafood which is good.
The service is efficient--they get the orders right, they are pleasant, but not overly so. I've also found them to be attentive, even when the place is crawling with customers.
As other reviewers pointed out, they don't have a deep fryer so you can't get fries with your burger. But their home fries are really, really good. So much so that you really will not miss the absence of fries. Their potato salad is also good, a close second.
It's a bit sad going there these days since Kelly, the restaurant patriarch, passed away. But the restaurant goes on! A final note: they do not have a dessert menu and send everyone over to Crazy Mocha next door (their desserts are only OK).
