  • Rubin's carries a decent selection of nice looking contemporary furniture. Much of it is veneer over MDF and priced appropriately. The salesman I encountered wouldn't leave me alone. I clearly stated more than once that I was "just browsing" and "doing fine", but everywhere I turned this guy was trying to sell me something. When I actually did purchase a table - not one that he was trying to push on me, and not with the chair upsell - the checkout and pickup process was fine. I asked for some follow-up information via phone on a different product and received it quickly. I'd be willing to try Rubin's again, but perhaps at the downtown Madison store next time.
