I don't know what is going on with these rental car companies?! I has to be the consolidation, much like the airlines. I got a great deal through United on a rental from Hertz, so I took advantage of it. When I got to the airport, they had two clerks working, and a line of at least ten people in the #1 Gold Club line and then about 10-15 in the main line. I waited for 30-45 minutes to get my car. Then when I got my car, I got about ten miles down the road when the tire light came on. I took it into a tire shop and they said there were two small holes in the driver side rear tire and it was causing the air to leak. And they said that the tire could not be repaired. So, I took the car back to the airport. The lady in the garage was nice and said just to go in the terminal and they''ll get me a new car. Once again, another 30 minutes in line. And then, they make me fill out an incident report. Are you kidding me?! How ridiculous is that?! They finally get me a new car, but I wasted over two and half hours dealing with these folks! The upside is the second car was great and they didn't try to rip me off like Avis did a few months ago. But I guess i need to stick to Enterprise. They are the only ones who have never screwed me over.
