| - I like this hotel and casino. It's a fun place to walk around during the Christmas season. They decorate it quite nicely. In my opinion, it seems a bit too dark inside. I wish they would brighten it up a bit with better lighting.
I've never stayed in the hotel at Sam's Town. When a cousin visited, I took him to Sam's Town and we ate at one of the buffets later in the evening. The food was very delicious.
I don't drink or gamble and I'm not a reveler. So, generally all I do at Sam's Town is watch movies. I usually go to South Point Hotel and Casino, but like South Point, Sam's Town has a wonderful Century theater. I love Century. I went to a Century theater when I lived in California and I am so happy that Nevada has them too or I probably wouldn't watch any movies here. So, Sam's Town is my second choice to watch movies. It also has a nice, big, clean, free parking garage, so your car is well protected from the sun and heat. Next to and south from the garage is a really nice motor home park that is filled with out of towners.
The only complaint I have about Sam's Town is where it is located. I don't really like the Nellis Boulevard area and that part of Boulder Highway. However, every now and then I still drive from Henderson to the Walmart located across the street from Sam's Town.
Overall, when you are inside Sam's Town, you feel safe and like you are surrounded by decent people.
