I quite honestly kept my expectations rather low when going into my recent first-time stay with the Rio.
The things that I knew from previous casino floor visits and/or general presumptions were relevant - It's a bit off the main strip, it's an older hotel, and some elements seen around and about are understandably rather dated and worn.
However, during my stay I experienced exceptional service; in some ways exceeding that of the finer, newer, far more expensive hotels found on the strip. It might not seem like much, but think about the last time you had the following offered at other Las Vegas resorts:
- Bottles of water were given to EVERYONE waiting in line to check in.
- The maid cheerfully greeted me in the hallway as I made my way to my room.
- On the way from my room to the elevator the next morning, bottles of water were offered once again by a polite gentleman employee who declined tips.
These small but important gestures will not go unnoticed Rio! I will be back to wager my hard earned dollars with you again in the near future.
