| - So, let me say that when I bought my first Hyundai three years ago, and they were Planet Hyundai, my experience was fantastic. However, this last time leaves little to be desired.
I received a phone call from a Wes Baker at this location, asking me to come in and refinance my current Hyundai since it was halfway paid off and in good standing. Upon arrival, I was greeted by him, and he immediately passed me off to a sales advisor telling him that I was there to "purchase a 2018 Elantra to replace my current one," despite that not being the reason I was there. They took the keys to my car, and kept insisting that the 2018 elantra on the showroom floor was "my car," and said they could only lower my payment by giving me a new car, even though I didn't want to part with the car I had. Reluctantly, I agreed, so that I could leave that place. Once I was dealing with the finance people, everything went south, since the finance guy, Darryl, was being rude and condescending, by talking to me like I was an idiot.
When I took delivery of the new car, I was told to "complete the survey and give [them] only good ratings, and [they] would refill my gas tank even if it was empty." A week later, a Bob Higdon called me reminding me to do the survey, and they would refill my car. I completed the survey honestly, and then I went in for the "free tank of gas." When I approached Bob's desk, and told him who I was, he came around his desk, and had a tantrum in the middle of the showroom, demanding to know who promised this, and when I said he did, he replied that the arrangement "was only for people who said they were highly satisfied, and that I had erroneously rated them a 600 out of 1,000." He agreed to refill the car, but acted like a child while walking away, mocking me and saying "Gee, thanks for your HONEST feedback!" and then he hid for the remainder of the time that I was there.
Unfortunately, because of this, I have decided that I will no longer consider buying a Hyundai moving forward, due to the deceitful, unethical, and childish behavior I have witnessed at this location. It really is a shame, since Hyundai makes really good cars, but if this dealership continues to try and operate by fear and collusion, they're going to turn people away from the brand.
It is obvious that the staff here is in need of some kind of corrective action, since their online reviews match the experience that I encountered on my last visit.
Also, as others have mentioned, steer clear of ABC Hyundai and Centennial Hyundai, as they are run by the same people. Consider making the drive out to Henderson if you're considering a Hyundai. I've lost all trust in these people, and will go out of my way to Henderson Hyundai to have them service my vehicle moving forward.
