  • When my husband and I first moved to Charlotte we were told this was the place to go for real, southern BBQ. What I didn't realize is that southern BBQ is not slathered with BBQ sauce and grilled. Like it is in California. :) However, when we walked in we immediately realized we liked the place. It seemed like the perfect mix of a greasy diner and my grandmother's kitchen. Bill - the owner - still works there and waits on his customers. He offered us a sample of just about everything before we ordered. I'd absolutely recommend this place. Careful, though, they're not open past 3 pm! :)
