There's something to be said about consistency. Paul Martin's will never stray so I'm a big fan immediately. I love that this is in my neighborhood so it's almost like me cooking at home. Reservations are suggested but I've always been able to slip in and enjoy the friendly staff and yummy food. If you can snag a seat on the patio, even better especially during this beautiful weather. It's cozy and perfect ambiance to canoodle.
As recommended and tipped by fellow foodies, I highly recommend the Raspberry Martini. I probably would have imbibed on the great selections of drinks but only more reason to return since happy hour lasts til 7p. I loved the calamari as a teaser to start. And the kale Ceasar is pretty filling especially when you add salmon or chicken. I have to say I swooned over the niman Pork Chop which is major kudos given I always choose steak. I think it takes finesse to cook pork to be juicy and tender; hence, I didn't share though the portion was so big I had leftovers. The brussel sprouts were perfect accompaniment to the entree. Who refuses mac'n'cheese should never sit at my table! The highlight for me is truly the staff. They have such an ease and joyful smiles that you want to stay til close. I thought it was kind they didn't rush us out despite past closing time. I have no problem ending my day here and so should you.
