| - I have now been a patient of Dr.Guminas since 2009 (so going on 7rs. now) and I cannot say I have ever been more happy with him as my PCP. In fact, although unfortunately they not to take
my insurance, I still pay to see him and will not go anywhere else. Dr.Gumina possesses many of the most important qualities of a top notch PCP. He is consistent, professional, personable, extremely intelligent and you know he genuinely cares.
Dr.Gumina has been in practice for many years, including some time over seas. He is not just your typical run of the mill doctor. He actually is very educated beyond the necessary requirements for general physicians these days and continues to impress me with his consistent knowledge of his practice and many more valuable pieces of information he has taken on the personal task of learning and mastering through self education.
He is a very confident physician who is not afraid to pick up the phone himself, instead of just handing off to a nurse or another employee and take on not only insurance companies, but the pharmacies (this is an impressive one;), but anyone who needs additional explaining or educating on any questions, concerns or matters at hand. He will indeed fight for what's right and what's best for the patients!
That said, one of the most endearing traits of Dr.Gumina is his passion for his practice and even more importantly, his patients. While the wait times can be trying at times, it is always worth it to be able to talk with him and address any and all of your concerns without feeling rushed. He actually takes the time to explain everything and make sure you are comfortable and confident with your care after you've left your appointment. This is unfortunately a rare quality in many physicians in my experience in recent years.
He also has a small staff- Adel (front desk), Heather (office manager) and Kaylee (nurse), all there working as a team, to assist you between appointments for anything from prescription refills, questions for the doctor (relayed through the nurse), appointment scheduling and many other ways to assist you between visits. These girls have all worked with Dr.Gumina for years now and just as the patients have a great tenure with the doc, so do his staff. This speaks volumes for this practice and it's truly great to have a relationship with the whole office.
So, if you are looking for an amazing, attentive, reliable PCP that will take care of your needs, while making sure you are always a priority and feel important and appreciated as a patient, then Dr.Gumina is the perfect choice:)
