  • This place is a shit hole.... Scotland Yard has been around since the late 1970's and yet during the past 35 years not one thing has changed here from the carpet to the bar accoutrements. The place has a seriously run down feel to it and someone needs to send a memo to the ownership that if you intend to stay in business for three decades or longer you need to put some money back into the place and freshen it up a bit. I still feel you practically need a Hep C vaccine shot before going into this joint when you look at the clientele that frequents the place outside of the younger, drunk crowd that can't get into the Bier Markt next door and think this is the next best thing. Traditionally Scotland Yard has always been a place for a last call/nightcap after a night on the town, but really there is no place for a dirty dive bar along the Esplanade anymore when you consider the other more respectable establishments that surround it. Clean it up or close the doors.
