| - After reading all the reviews I was a little weary of staying here. Maybe it helped that I was expecting the worst, that I was so upset with this hotel.
Upon arrival the front desk was very nice and let us check in early, so this definitely helped with the tiredness.
I checked the bed for bed bugs, as I do at every hotel I stay at. Checked out the rest of the room and was pleasantly surprised. However, this room did not have any amenities like shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryers or irons. Again, this was expected, so no big deal there.
The walls are pretty thin, so you can hear everything that's going on outside and in other rooms. At some times it can get pretty loud. I tend to sleep with the tv on so that helps tune out some of the noise.
So why the low score? The maids. The day I was checking out (check out is at 11am), I get a knock at the door at 10:25 and it's the maid. She wants to make she we are checking out today. Yes, that's the plan, at 11 even though the day before at the desk they said we could leave at 11:30. I told her this and she said no 11, to which I replied I was told I could leave at 11:30, although we plan to leave by 11. This whole exchange left a bad taste. I have traveled all over the world and have never had someone knock on my door before checkout time. Let me get my shit together and don't bother me so I can leave on time. Wtf.
If you know what you're getting into, then you'll be fine at this hotel. If not, stay somewhere else and expect to pay more.
My rating is for the maid the day we left and the thin walls. The room itself over all is fine.
