  • Elara used to be PH (Planet Hollywood) Westgate, but was recently acquired by Hilton. We stayed for Fri/Sat night for about $120 in a regular suite. It was probably the cheapest for that time *there was a convention going on*. If you're a Hilton Honors member, you get freebies. I was disappointed that they wouldn't upgrade me despite an email from HH offering said upgrades. ** I did read all the reviews for this place... and thankfully did not experience those horrors. The management was still being transferred from PH to Elara so there were a few small hiccups at the front desk, but nothing major** What's to like: x SUPER location - center Strip, attached to PH, close to all the action x attached self parking structure makes for ease of moving your luggage around x AWESOME ceiling to floor and wall to wall views of the Strip x freebie wi-fi if you're a HH member x chic decor -- big plushy bed with glam headboard x separate shower and toilet area x very convenient pool area close to lobby x attached to miracle mile shops x good follow-up service x express check out x little kitchenette area (no stove though) x jacuzzi tub *though, I don't use 'em... don't trust if they are clean* x large TV x lovely sofa/chaise that overlooks view of the Strip... very relaxing!! What's just OK: x limited toiletries -- no shower cap and the soaps, lotion, shampoo are not good quality -- suggest bringing your own x credit card machine wasn't up and running at the front desk so they had to read my card the old fashion way Overall, a good stay and would return if it continues to have reasonable prices.
