  • Really enjoyed the Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. It is only playing for the next week, so I suggest you see it if you're in Las Vegas! They are moving to Orange County, CA next. I am familiar with some of her songs but never knew too much about her life, and it was amazing to learn about the crazy hits she wrote with her husband at such a young age, and it was really touching whenever the musical showed Carole and her husband working together on the music. She would play on the piano and sing, and the lyrics were so simple and meaningful that I kept tearing up!!! I have a lot more understanding and respect for story behind the songs such as Up On a Roof, One Fine Day, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow... etc. Also, the singers and dancers who recreated the songs were really entertaining, especially the one who played Little Eva and danced the Locomotion. She had so much energy and her voice was amazing!!! All of the singers were great, even the ones who played the Righteous Brothers. I was really blown away by the whole cast, the talent was super amazing, especially the main characters who played Carole King and Cynthia Weil! The show was funny, sad, sweet, and inspiring... Really great!!!!!!!!! I also saw the Book of Mormon last year which was great too. The venue is nice, make sure to check out level 5 and look out over the balcony!
