  • Holy mother of inefficiency! Had to take off work (without pay) to get my mother to her follow-up mammogram. She had a 10:30 appointment time. At 11:10 the door-of-selection opens and her name was called....BUT, before my mother could respond...or get up...the person disappeared and the door slammed shut! And...nothing! No one returned. No one knew what happened or why she wasn't taken back. Finally, the check-in person told us that the door- monitor/queen-of-selection went on break.....ok? Is there a back up queen??? Are we now in waiting room limbo? At this point mom is annoyed...me, a bit past annoyed...and she is ready to reschedule....when lo-and-behold...the door-of-selection reopens and a new reigning queen beckons her thither It is now 11:50. I'm late for work. I'm making no money, HOWEVER, the inefficient, time-wasting, gods of incompetence are hard at work...earning THEIR paychecks by waisting my time
