  • We wanted to go to the downtown area and since I was driving, with 4 others directing, we ended up just pulling into this hotel and valeted our car. We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite before heading to Fremont Street and I saw Du-Par's the minute we stepped into the hotel. I had this place bookmarked after watching a show on LV and so I directed everyone to it for the afternoon bite. The first thing I noticed was the sign introducing their shrimp cocktail. Since only 2 of us wanted shrimp cocktail, we decided to share it. For $3.99 it was really a good portion and it was really good too, with a great horseradish infused cocktail sauce. We ended up ordering another. The rest of us shared some potato skins and a chicken pot pie, while others had sandwiches and a veggie burger. The food is just okay. The pot pie was decent but not outstanding. Same goes for everything else. we liked the old school aspect of the place, but that's about it. And the shrimp cocktail! That's all.
