I have been going there at least 8-10 times a year over the past 15 years until lately. I hate to say this about a place that I use to just love and thought that not only the food but the atmosphere was first rate. Tonight ended my love affair with Casa. This was the 3rd time over the past year that I was really disappointed with the food . Granted the atmosphere still has people flocking to it but there are just to many fabulous restaurants in Vegas to go to and the quality in my opinion has really been compromised. What did it. To start with was the salad. In my opinion they must have prepared it well ahead of time and then refrigerated it. Why, because the cheese and salami that make part of the base were basically frozen to the plate. Yes, stuck and hard to peel away from the plate and finally when biting into it you could tell it was frozen. Finally, the steak my wife ordered was way overcooked. The waitress apologized but didn't make an effort to ask whether she wanted another. Well, finally the service was slow as if they were understaffed. We didn't complain about anything because we both knew that this was the end of an era. I don't know whether ownership or management has changed but the quality has gone down hill and I haven't even mentioned my order.
