  • Best cheese danish in the city! I was raised on eastern-European-style cheese danish made with quark/farmer cheese and since moving to Toronto I've experienced nothing but cheese danish disappointments... Apparently I'm very picky about my cheese danishes (I had no idea!) and nothing I tried hit the spot. Luckily, I stumbled upon this bakery during one of my cabbagetown strolls and now I refuse to get danishes anywhere else. The portions are huge and stuffed with dense, lightly sweetened cheese filling (there are also cherry and blueberry flavor options). Absolutely delicious and the prices are very reasonable. They also sell day-olds at a rate of $2.50 for a bag of 3 pastries, which is a pretty good deal (depending on what you get).
