  • I have a love/hate relationship with Star Nursery. When I need irrigation system stuff this is where I go. When I need bulk rock, sand, or other materials they are hard to beat on selection and bulk pricing. That being said trying to get help if you have a question can be a pain. And as I wrote back in 2013 when buying handtools, or anything inside the main store I encourage people to price shop as you can beat them on price if you don't need it right that second. I also think their pricing on larger plants borders is ridiculous. Granted I'm from the Midwest where some things are cheaper but some of the pricing on their larger plants made me step back and say no, I don't think so. I'm also not a fan of being ambushed by the day laborers waiting at the parking lot entrances. I know they are trying to make a living and I respect that. But if I am interested in their services I will reach out and ask them questions. Otherwise leave me alone so I can leave the parking lot in peace. 2 Stars. While it's been 4 years since my last review of them I see no reason to give them an extra star. Not happening.
